“To the Venter who is going to stop reading the EV Trib because of the outstanding letters from Rod Livdhal, good riddance. Go back to reading right wing propaganda.”

“We should (every one of us that can read anyway) be insulted that a reporter wasted our time with the scandalous news that some Congressman actually may have gone for a swim at a resort in Jerusalem. That it was also last year seems to have escaped the reporter’s notice as well.”

“I have an idea about how to create more jobs in the U.S.A. Stop buying autos that come from overseas and start buying Chevy, Ford and Chrysler products. Don’t tell me that they are not as good as cars coming from overseas. Autos made in the United States are better. I have never in my life bought an auto not made in the US and I am 80 years old. Come on, let’s create more jobs for U.S. workers.”

“GOP endorses legitimate rape in Missouri. I don’t think that’s been legitimate any where since Gengis Khan ruled most of the uncivilized world.”

“Mr. Ryan is just plan scary. I have no clue why Wisconson keeps voting him in. He seems like he is very happy just getting to Washington. Only getting two bills passed in 14 years is not relly doing anything and your budget plans are just a plain joke. You keep changing your tune every 5 minutes. Go home and get a real job! Something you have never had.”

5th venter: it seems the Republican Party has a " thing " for businessmen who inherited a lot of money.

Inheriting money doesn't make them bad people.

But it doesn't make them saints and saviors of the world either.

When people such as Ryan can " forget " a multi-million dollar trust fund inheritance --- they have enough money and they don't need another job.

They should just retire and go play on their yachts.

And of course Mitt was worth a 100 million the day he was born so he is just regular folks. Nothing unusual about him, just a regular average Joe.

The way the Republicans have picked people with inherited wealth is almost reminiscent of feudal Europe.

They are trying to bring back the good old days of Lords and Ladies and serfs and peons.

wdgnas -- American workers have the highest productivity and quality of any in the world.

Corporate greed and Executive greed for multi-million dollar bonuses drove offshoring to cheap labor countries -- to the detriment of quality in many cases.

Some companies are coming back to America because wages in China / India have risen and, when you count in shipping expense, it is no longer cheaper ( or enough of a savings to be justifiable ) to manufacture offshore.

And, popular opinion has swung against foreign goods, to some extent.
