"All of the theatre the politicians are acting out about raising the debt ceiling would be comical if we, the taxpayers, weren't going to have to foot the bill. It's analogous to your kids voting to raise their allowance. What a bunch of clowns."

"It is reported President Obama will raise $2 billion to get re-elected to a position that pays $450,000 a year. This is a Harvard graduate. Is it any wonder our government is in the financial shape it is in. Don't get me wrong, Republicans are just as bad."

"I see that the spendthrift spirit of Washington DC is alive and well in Mesa. The Tribune reports that Mesa is developing the light rail system. I'm fine with that. But to spend $245,000 on each station for ‘ART?' I can understand putting in the rails and concrete. I agree that there should be parking and benches for waiting passengers. I do not agree that Mesa should spend their taxpayer dollars on frivolities. A steel frame and tin roof is sufficient to protect from the weather. It worked for your grandfather, it is enough for these hard economic times."

"Gilbert, Arizona: More people, fewer bars than Salt Lake City."
