Donna Worthington: Covance’s sadistic, indefensible existence and invasion of Arizona is not progress. This notorious animal concentration camp company remains the primitive, barbaric, counterproductive, profit-driven arm of the vile, avaricious pharmaceutical empire that mindlessly victimizes both humans and animals with dangerous, animal-torturing tested drugs.

Covance’s sadistic, indefensible existence and invasion of Arizona is not progress. This notorious animal concentration camp company remains the primitive, barbaric, counterproductive, profit-driven arm of the vile, avaricious pharmaceutical empire that mindlessly victimizes both humans and animals with dangerous, animal-torturing tested drugs.

Like most of the brainwashed public, the naive author of your March 28 commentary, “Covance opening moves bioscience industry forward,” is clearly unaware that archaic, erroneous animal-using testing is another agonizing form of pseudo-science vivisection (animal experiments), and that depraved vivisectors (animal experimenters) deceitfully hide behind such devious terms as “research/researchers,” and “biomedical/bioscience” while maniacally inflicting fallacious, redundantly useless, Frankenstein experiments on live, sensitive, intelligent nonhuman animals who, unlike their human tormentors, would never excruciatingly victimize human medical advancement.

Every time we turn on TV, there is another alert of yet another animal-tested drug taken off the market after it injured or killed someone, frequently many people, proving that the testing of drugs on animals does not make them safe for humans, only making lawyers even richer from the resulting lawsuits.

And the big winners are grant-obsessed vivisectors, the pharmaceutical industry and lawyers. The big losers are the unaware public. But the biggest losers of all are the tragic laboratory animals mercilessly caught in the middle of this deadly and gigantic universal lie and fraud. All solely based, not on valid, relevant scientific and medical principles, but ruthlessly motivated by insatiable human greed, and an egotistically warped mentality, and a demented curiosity.
