How sad.

There never was a doubt how the Arizona Bar Association and Maricopa County Judges Ethics case against Andrew Thomas would turn out.

More than $30 million dollars wasted. Did it make our lives better, safer, or did we learn anything from it? How could they get away with it? Money is all-important now.

Life was not like that 40 years ago. Our media was informative and caring, the music, mostly soft and comforting. Letters to the Editor did not warn us about being prepared for attacks in public places.

Needing firepower for when we become like Syria. Or to be aware of violent video games. The airways were not filled with hate and anti-government rhetoric.

Our elected president, now subject to all forms of verbal abuse. People of color are also Americans deserving of respect.

When I see or hear Barack Obama speak I am reminded of Nat King Cole’s song, “Nature Boy” and its message,

“The only thing you’ll ever learn, is just to love and be loved in return.”

Yes, Richard. I think Barack is a man who knows that what connects us, the fabric of life, is love. I believe that the closer he gets to that truth, the more he unsettles the fear in those whose business it is to divide us.
