“Did anyone really believe that merging Arizona with an impoverished third-world country would result in a wealthier Arizona?  Only the open borders crowd thinks that the average of one and three is one.”

“So Arizona is the second poorest state. Does any normal person believe that is true? I had a professor tell us one time to ‘Give me a bunch of statistics and then tell me what you want them to say.’ It sounds like the same statistic of ‘SAVED or created jobs credited to the Stimulus Money.’ ”

“If all Government aid (SSI, WIC, Food Stamps, Section 8, TANF, EITC, AHCCCS etc.), other payments (casino dividends, lawsuits etc.) and under-the-table wages were accounted for, Arizona would have much lower poverty rates. People here are good at working for cash and passing welfare interviews.”

“(Friday’s) article about everyone getting a flu shot is good news. Except AHCCCS has stopped covering the shot if you are under 19 years old.  The best way to keep my kids healthy and they were turned away.”

“Mesa police can set up a 5-hour sobriety checkpoint to stop every vehicle to see if they are under the influence but they can’t stop even one vehicle to see if the driver is legal. You know why? Money, there is big money in DUIs!”

“Why must you take up space with these condescending opinion pieces? I guess only police officers should have guns. The rest of us are irresponsible and dangerous.”

“The Venter who shamelessly accused his mother-in-law of being blind as a bat should schedule an eye exam for himself. He says the state renewed her ‘driver’s license.’  If he were able to see, he’d notice that in Arizona it is called a DRIVER LICENSE, no apostrophe, no s. Sounds like the pot’s calling the kettle black.”
