“Now that Mr. Pat has explained the Taliban, perhaps he would tell us why candidate Santorum constantly tells us about former President Reagan? Personally, I think he was too young to remember the ‘wonderful changes’ he made while president. Number one, he immediately fired all the air traffic controllers. Why? Because they were unionized. In my estimation, unions are necessary evils. And what about the law he passed called Fair Reporting? One could say or write about someone you didn’t like without punishment. That law helped the Fox stations.”
“How can an unelected judiciary void a law put in place by an elected legislative body? SB 1070 cannot be legitimately overturned by the Supreme Court, according to Barack Obama.”
“Frustrated President Obama seems to have challenged the U.S. Supreme Court’s authority to declare a law unconstitutional when he commented that it could be considered judicial activism if the high court strikes down his health care (‘Obamacare’) law.”
“What in the constitution permits lawmakers to sign a pledge of allegiance to an individual and ideology that takes priority over the oath of office? Let’s move toward a dictatorship Congress — it is already halfway there. Signing Grover Norquist’s pledge should be a gala affair with brass band playing ‘Hail to the Chief’ and super PACs chanting ‘Hail Caesar.’ Just look at the unity already sweeping the country.”
“Why is it that when an illegal alien gets arrested and sentenced to deportation, there is wailing in the streets and the media about how terrible it is to break up the family. But if a legal American citizen gets sentenced to five years in prison for shoplifting or cashing a bad check nobody cares that this family is broken up. No one cares that these children will be without their father. Only when it is an illegal alien do people suddenly care about the ‘family.’”
“Are Obama, the Congress, the national media, the New Black Panthers, Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson talking about the Taco Bell killing in Phoenix? No, even more proof they are all racists.”
“The GOP has forgotten the old adage: ‘Hell has no fury like a woman scorned.’ They are not finished with their forward to the past movement; they will surely make an attempt to repeal the 19th Amendment — women’s right to vote — before the November election.”
“Let me see if I understand this. A law in Arizona that mimics federal law that was written by democratically elected officials and passed by democratically elected officials and signed into law by a democratically elected official is going to the Supreme Court, challenged by democratically elected officials. These same democratically elected officials that are challenging the Arizona law are telling the Supreme Court that a law that was written by democratically elected officials and passed by democratically elected officials and signed into law by a democratically elected official should not be challenged by states that are made up of democratically elected officials. Now I completely understand.”

Should we be concerned about Iran? We should be more concerned about what is taking place in our own country. Keystone pipe line for or against, one more piece of the puzzle, Saudi Arabia will take control of U.S. Port Arthur refinery and will be spending $7 billion in updates. So much for U.S. energy independence.[sad][sad]

Vent #1: Your comments don't make much sense. But president Regan fired the controllers for an illegal strike. There is no law about fair reporting.
Vent #2: Your wrong but I understand where you are coming from.
Vent #3: Of course Obams is wrong about this and the SCOTUS has over turned the laws of Congress several times.
Vent #4: There is nothing in the Constitution about signing a pledge to not increase taxes. Just like there is nothing in the Constitution about ruling by fiat like our president is doing. All hail King Obama. LOL
Vent #5: It's what happens when you don't in force all the laws all the time.
Vent #6: The Taco Bell murder doesn't make money or win votes.
Vent #7: A false issue by the liberals and MSM. We republicans love and respect women.
Vent #8: The problem is our president thinks that laws passed by a democrat controlled congress can't be overturned. While laws passed by a republican governing body must be overturned by the courts according to our president.

President Obama, who doesn't like federal judges disagreeing with him, issued a direct challenge to the U.S. Supreme Court. But, last month, Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy said it's definitely not judicial activism if the Court throws out the whole health care law.
U.S. 5th Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Jerry Smith (federal judge in Houston) said Obama's comments seemed to challenge the authority of high courts. In response, Smith has demanded that the Department of Justice clarify President Obama's recent “judicial activism” comments, and the department's position on judicial review.
