"Further proof that the least intelligent people in college come out of the school of education is evidenced by the latest nonsense from the English teacher (Mike McClellan's guest commentary on March 4) and his rant against tax cuts, guns and pro-life. This character teaches young people? Since he loathes the ‘tea party state' I would suggest he take his leftist views to California. His philosophy has worked wonders there."

"Obama said, ‘One of the great strengths of the United States is we have a very large Christian population. We do not consider ourselves a Christian nation or a Jewish nation or a Muslim nation. We consider ourselves a nation of citizens who are bound by ideals and a set of values.' Because of quotes like that, I will never fly my flag on President's Day. But, I do love my country. Maybe I just don't like closet Muslims."

"I would not pay my satellite provider more to include FOX News channel in my package. You see, I become violently ill whenever I hear rampant, vicious and intentional lies and distortions invading my home. I don't need big business and corporations telling me what to think or believe, or twisting facts to serve their own interests. I have a mind of my own, thank you."

"To the venter who thinks I am an idiot to compare the cost of gasoline to ink: You tell me two things - One, you missed the point; two, you are a liberal as noted by your name-calling technique."
