"The unions are calling for a strike against the liberal website, Huffington Post. No wonder the liberals want to restrict the freedom of speech exhibited by conservatives. They are too stupid to support liberal speech."

"I too have a 55th cousin on my mother's side who lives in Canada who thinks he or she doesn't get enough good health care in Canada. Honestly look at the world ratings on health care and the facts are the U.S. is in last place out of the C7 countries. That includes Canada. In reality, if you are not a CEO or politician, the U.S. is rated around 50th in the world out of 179 countries on health care and if you are one of the 31 million without health care you are out of luck."

"I agree totally with Sunday's veteran venter about the dilution of the Purple Heart, but let's go back to the Vietnam era where you received your two medals. How about John Kerry and his five Purple Hearts - four for scratches, and one that his company commander knows nothing about or the reason he received the medal! Now that is real dilution!"

"Fox News is still waiting to hand out $100,000 for any proof that the tea party spat or used racial slurs at Congressmen as reported on all the other TV stations and you're going to tell me that Fox doesn't report the truth? There's a reason the 11 top-rated cable news programs all belong to Fox."

John Kerry served in the Navy and received three (3) Purple Hearts for service in combat during the Vietnam War. In 1968, Kerry received a shrapnel wound injury in the left arm above the elbow and Kerry received his first Purple Heart. In 1969, Lieutenant Kerry's Swift boat in South Vietnam was hit by a RPG round, and a piece of shrapnel hit Kerry's left leg, wounding him and he received his second Purple Heart. Lieutenant Kerry also received the Bronze Star for his actions during an incident in 1969. With a small bruise on his right arm and a minor injury to his buttocks, he also received his third Purple Heart.
Wounds not severe enough or ‘dilution' of the medal, whatever the case, Lieutenant (junior grade) Kerry was awarded three Purple Hearts and it allowed him to request to leave Vietnam before his tour of duty was finished.
After Kerry's service in the Navy, he became a spokesperson for ‘Vietnam Veterans Against the War’. At which time, Kerry participated in a demonstration when he and other veterans threw their medals and ribbons over a fence erected at the front steps of the United States Capitol building to dramatize their opposition to the Vietnam war.

First Venter:
Guess I missed this news about Huffington Post. What got unions upset about Ms. Huffington?
Second Venter:
So do you agree then that we should be able to do better? If so, what is your perscription? What should we be doing different now than has been done over the last three decades?
Third Venter:
Sorry to hear you vent! What did CBS do wrong? I watched one game on CBS and it looked fine.
Fourth Venter:
Perhaps so. But no one claims that Kerry had anything directly to do with these events. His heroism was demonstrated by his going before a legislative committee to tell them what he saw that was being covered up. I'd guess that John, who had some political connections even back then, had spounted off a bit and his higher ups used these medal actions to try to shut him up. But it did not work!
P.S. And thank you Accuracy. You scored big on this one!
Fifth Venter:
As I recall, those reporting these spits were the few congressmen who claimed to have received them. The non-Faux News channels made that perfectly clear. So would any of those congressment stoop down to Faux to receive the reward? Dignity demands that they not!
Sixth Venter:
Ya. But let's give the President time on Monday to explain himself.
