“Don’t you sometime wonder where people’s hearts are? We have an epidemic of homeless Vietnam war veterans and now Iraq and Afghanistan war veterans too. Many carry physical and psychological wounds they suffered in defense of our country. That’s why you have to wonder how people can donate to homeless dog, cats and horse shelters, while these veterans are left to fend for themselves on the street.”
“I never new there were so many experts on womens bodies in congress. Since this issue of legitimate rape came up half the GOP congress talk like they have a degree from the DeVry Institute of Gynecology. Now more than ever I feel secure with my male sexuality.”
“We’re going to ‘hell in a hand-basket’ and all the Obama campaign are worrying about Romney’s taxes. Obama and his cronies have no basic argument on the Economy so they come up with Reid, Pelosi, supported by ‘BO’ with insignificant rhetoric. The Dem’s are grasping for air during their dying days.”
“Barack Obama is nothing more than a full-blown traitor. He is giving away our best-kept secrets away to our worst enemies, like the S.E.A.L. team that got bin Laden — he wasn’t supposed to tell anyone that! And that’s only one example! Traitor Obama doesn’t deserve a second term!”
“Looks like the Good Lord doesn’t approve of adult swims in the Sea of Gallali, legitimate rape, war on rights, trumped up voter fraud laws, use of wealth for every thing but what it was intended for, and sent Isaac to express his dissatisfaction with the GOP in Tampa.”
“After viewing the news interview with Ms. Johnson, President of Johnson Ranch Water and daughter of George Johnson Thursday evening, it was easy to realize how the polluting took place, a simple case of ‘dysfunctional nepotism’. She had little knowledge of what was going on and had to consult with a person behind the camera(s) for answers which were also vague. Ms. Johnson told the reporter(s); that operating a rural water company wasn’t like operating a city water facility ... Excuse me! Further proof the state needs to tighten up it’s bootstraps when it comes to public utilities.”
“In response to the 80 year old American car venter, THANK YOU. We need more people like you, only younger. Kennedy once said, ‘ask not what your country can do for you, but what can you do for your country.’ Well, one answer to that is buy a Chevy, Ford, or Dodge.”

6th venter -- that is just more proof why we MUST have constant government regulation of businesses.
Business will cut any corner they can to increase profit and it has been seen time and time again that they do not care if their products kill or maim people.
Ford Motor kept producing the Pinto with gas tanks that burst into flame when a simple $5 fix would have solved the problem. They catch food companies cheating all the time. The meat packing industry is one of the most corrupt industries in the world.
But, of course, Republicans whine that government regulations interfere and reduce their profit.
I DON'T CARE.
Arizona Willie posted at 9:53 am on Wed, Aug 29, 2012.
4th venter, Obama may not deserve a second term -- but Romney definitely does NOT deserve a FIRST term.
There has never been a successful President who was a businessman.
The Federal Government was not designed nor intended to be ran as a business.
Businesses serve to make a profit for their owners / stockholders.
Government exists to serve PEOPLE ... not to make a profit.
Businessmen think they can issue orders and Congressmen will jump to do their bidding. Problem is --- Congressmen don't agree.
The President can't fire Congressment who don't do what he wants --- but Congressmen CAN fire the President.
Why are the Republicans so obsessed with people who inherited wealth?
Both nominees are wealthy men who inherited lots of money and never depended on a weekly paycheck to buy groceries.
They are trying to bring back the days of Feudal England with Lords and Ladies and serfs and peons.

Vent #1 - It's a shame. Democrats are only generous with other people's money. NEVER their own.
Vent #2 - The guy made a stupid remark. He apologized for it. GET OVER IT, DEMS. It seems to me that only Democrats can get away with saying outrageous things.
Vent #3 - Very true.
Vent #4 - Wow. I wouldn't go quite that far, but you're right when you say that Obama doesn't deserve a second term.
Vent #5 - Actually, it's going to New Orleans.
Vent #6 - We don't need more governmenmt regulation, Willie. We need less. Government has no business telling our businesses what to do.
Vent #7 - I prefer an Altima, but to each his own.
Willie, I must contend with your comments. The proffits, as you call them, are what the businesses make when people buy their products. it's the buyers choice; he/she doesn't have to buy them at all. I do not know of any situation where meat packing industries are corrupt.
And not every "problem" can be fixed with five dollars, you know. Most of the time it's far more expensive.

Since Toyota, Honda and other "foreign" car manufacturers are building cars in the U.S. and employing American workers, I'll stick to quality "foreign" vehicles built and sold by those companies. The last time I owned a car built by a U.S. company (Buick) was in the early '90s. No more! Only Toyota, Lexus, Honda, Acura, Nissan, Infinity, Mercedes Benz, BMW or Porsche for me.

"Government has no business telling our businesses what to do."
And yet you have NO problem with your religious cult trying to tell the rest of us what to do via bought-and-paid-for legislation.
Hypocrisy, thy name is mrconservative.
Arizona Willie posted at 4:33 pm on Wed, Aug 29, 2012.
mr.conservative -- I suggest you find a copy of the Constitution.
Clause 3. The Congress shall have Power *** To regulate Commerce with foreign Nations, and among the several States, and with the Indian Tribes.
The power to regulate business in right in the Constitution.
The Founding Fathers knew that there is no bigger crook than an honest businessman. Even way back then they knew business had to be regulated in order to keep greed in check.

Perhaps you're right, but sometimes the government goes too far.
EV, I'm not entirely sure what you mean by "bought-and-paid-for legislation", so i will withhold comment about that until you do a bit more explaining.

I am not going to explain lobbying to you, mrconservative. But here is a start:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lobbying
Learn for yourself - and once you do, you will understand the phrase "bought-and-paid-for-legislation".
mrconservative posted at 8:42 pm on Fri, Aug 31, 2012.
I don't pretend to uderstand everything about lobbying, but here's what I found, word for word -
Lobbying (also lobby) is the act of attempting to influence decisions made by officials in the government, most often legislators or members of regulatory agencies.
I personally see nothing wrong with that.
Let's have another fun moment with poems. In this case, I did not write it myself, but it's from a well-known Zac Brown Band song.
Thank God for my life
For the Stars and Stripes
May Freedom forever fly
Let it Ring
Salute the ones who die
The ones who give their lives
So we don't have to sacrifice
All the things we love
Great song, isn't it? I don't advocate the beer part (I replace it with Sprite, or root beer), but it's still a terrific song.

mrconservative:
I'm happy to see that you have no objection to lobbying.
You won't have any objection then to the American Atheist Association paying for all expense paid trips for Congressmen and their families as they lobby for Congressional support for a bill outlawing Christianity.

mrconservative -- you said " EV, I'm not entirely sure what you mean by "bought-and-paid-for legislation", so i will withhold comment about that until you do a bit more explaining. "
Some Congressmen have actually allowed lobbiests and the lobbiests staff to write legislation that the Congressman then introduced on the floor of Congress as though they had created it.
Congressmen become so indebted to and dependent on lobbiest for their " campaign contributions " that they are considered " bought and paid for "
They will not only introduce any legislation desired by the lobbiest ... they even let them write the legislation.

BWA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!
That’s a good one, Willie. I didn’t know you had such an outrageous sense of humor.
First of all, no such bill could exist. Most of our Congressmen and women are Christians, and they certainly wouldn’t vote for it if they wanted to keep their job, nor would any Christian, Republican or Democrat, vote for the bill.
Secondly, that kind of bill violates the First Amendment’s “Freedom of Religion.”
I, for one, would continue to practice my freedom to worship God as I choose and I wouldn’t care what anyone else would think or do.
By the way, our rights come from God, and NO ONE else.

Wow...so you're okay with slimy criminals bribing our elected officials?
Why oh why am I NOT surprised!
"By the way, our rights come from God, and NO ONE else."
You are an idiot. This is NOT Iran, or Saudi Araba. This is the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. We are a SECULAR NATION. Our rights come from the governed. If you don't like it, LEAVE.

Just insults, false claims, and more lies from the ignorant, uneducated mrconservative.

Still waiting for that proof...

Hey mrconservative, were you a fan of the show Growing Pains?
The DVD set of the show is available...but they removed all commentary by Kirk Cameron...gee, I wonder why...let's find out!
""He wouldn't stop his Bible talk," says the DVD's producer. "He saw it as a platform to practice amateur apologetics." Executives at ABC say Cameron couldn't let any of his character's objectionable behavior slip by without condemning it. He also tried to lead viewers in the sinner's prayer at the end of each show. The warm, family reunion feel the network hoped to create was squelched when Cameron kept breaking in with spiritual points.
"Everyone would go silent. It was really distracting," says one person involved in the project.
The producers tried to accommodate Cameron by putting his commentary on a separate audio track. But this emboldened him to preach. He even brought in Ray Comfort, co-host of Cameron's TBN program "The Way of the Master," to contribute to the commentary. Comfort was asked to leave ABC's premises after trying to convert several executives who are Jews in the lunchroom.
ABC eventually opted to drop Cameron from the group commentary altogether, leaving Alan Thicke, Tracey Gold, Joanna Kerns and Jeremy Miller to participate in the reunion. Thicke opens the commentary by saying, "We're sorry Kirk Cameron couldn't join us today. He had other obligations."
