“Wanted to thank Gov. Brewer for giving me a specified Day of Prayer. I’ll be praying all day for getting a new governor.”

“Re: Letter to the Editor, 8/19, ‘Anti LDS election mailer missed the mark.’ I’m not trying to be tacky nor anti-Mormon, but, can one tell me who isn’t Mormon (LDS) and running for election in this neck-of-the-woods?”

“It doesn’t matter what Congressman Paul Ryan says what he is going to do with Medicare. His stuttering and stammering answering simple questions leads you to believe he still intends to turn the Medicare program into a voucher laden suppository program.”

“Applause for Jan Brewer for her stand on not providing driver’s licenses to the DREAMers. We have enough uninsured, undocumented drivers in Arizona now. If the DREAMers don’t like Arizona law, they are free to move elsewhere the laws might be favorable.”

“Taxes are personal just like Hitler’s psychiatric evaluation was personal. Don’t say it isn’t the same, because it’s exactly the same when your trying to define someone’s character, and the effect on your life and millions of others.”

“How many months will pass before a judge or jury rules whether a rape was legitimate? Were the number of legitimate rapes equal to the number of fraudulent voters and will fraudulent rapists be required to have a photo ID?”

“If I were a ‘spineless’ NRA (National Rifle Association) member, and I discharged my firearm, what would happen? It takes more imagination to consider the consequence of such, than the Friday Venter has intelligence to write such rantings. Engage your intelligence, people, not just your emotions, and make the Vent column worthwhile to read. Either that, or write your drivel in the comment section online, so that valuable print space is not wasted!”

“I’m tired of politicians trying to ‘out-conservative’ each other in TV ads. It makes me sick, and I guess I’m in the minority in this state because I’m not a conservative. In one of his ads, Jeff Flake says he’s an ‘Arizona conservative.’ What the heck does that mean? Does it mean that he hates brown people just like Sheriff Joe and Gov. Brewer do?”

4th venter: The Federal Government says Arizona can't deport illegals back across the border anymore --- at least without permission from them.

But, as a soverign state, Arizona does the the right to decide who can and who cannot live within it's borders.

So we < could > load illegals on a non-stop plane for Washington, D.C. and let 'em have all the illegals than can stand.

I bet if every state started shipping it's illegals to Washington, Washington would change it's tune about not enforcing immigration law real quick.

Ooops, I hate this forum software .... Second paragraph should read " But, as a soverign state, Arizona does have the right to decide who can and who cannot live within it's borders. "

EDITORS -- if you don't get better forum software I WILL NOT be paying for access very long.

Vent #1: What, you want a liberal/progressive governor that will turn Arizona into another California, with increases in taxes and spending? Go Jan, enforce all the laws all the time.

Vent #2: Do your own research. I'm sure there are anti-Mormon, anti-religious, anti-everything candidates out there somewhere.

Vent #3: That's right, you can't believe the candidate you gotta believe what the liberal/progressive media says, they speak for you and you worship at the alter of BSNBC!! LOL

Vent #4: Go Jan!! Enforce all the laws all the time.

Vent #5: So you are trying to define someones character by their tax papers? How about letting the IRS deciding if that person has done anything illegal. Or is it that you distrust people that are wealthy and they must have done something wrong, immoral or dishonest to get rich.

Vent #6: What? Are you trying to compare rape with voter fraud or voter ID laws? I hope not. Only a desperate liberal would do that. LOL

Vent #7: The only spineless ones around are the liberals. LOL

Vent #8: Well there are "conservatives" and then there are "Arizona conservatives". Oh what the heck, I like 'em all. LOL

This post is probably a bit off topic since it isn't a reply to a Vent -- it is a Vent itself.

As evidence of the state of education in Arizona I noticed a picture in the Multimedia section which ( on my screen ) is to the right of the Opinions.

The picture is titled " Sunset looking East ".

Now I may be an old fuddy duddy -- but in my word the sun still sets in the West.

Or did the earth's rotation change and nobody told me.

AZ-WILLIE ,You and I agree 100% on the illegals. Everything I have read from you on this issue is right on target.
Now what is this about paying for access, I have been reading this fourm for a couple of years now but just signed on last week and I didn't see anywhere that it cost money what did I miss?

smartvoter ... that's what I get for not paying closer attention. I was thinking I was posting on az.central.

They both use lousy forum software, though.

As far as I know, EVT has no plans to charge for online access but az.central does.

    My bad.

Now the secret is out -- I < can > make a mistake [smile]

Yes Willie you can make a mistake.

Go look at that picture again - Sunset looking East.

No, the earth's rotation didn't change. Yes, the sun still sets in the west.

But people can still look east during a sunset...and take a picture. ;)

True EV, however, if that was a sunset picture looking East, the TOP of the clouds would be reddish and the bottom would be much darker ( usually ) due to the fact the sun is dropping below the horizon the light would strike the top of the clouds.

Oh well, it really doesn't matter. Maybe it will rotate through again.
