Mitt Romney picked a VP and his choice revealed a very disturbing truth. They don’t care about the majority of American society. They are only interested in working to advance the agenda of greed and individualism.

If you have any doubt of this, please go to the American Values Network website: http://americanvaluesnetwork.org/aynrandvsjesus/ and watch the short video interview with Ayn Rand.

If her atheistic views of greed, selfishness and individuality as the cornerstones of capitalism don’t deeply disturb you, then I’m so very sorry!

But what’s even more disturbing is that Paul Ryan is a lifelong devotee!

I quote from an article by Jason Cherkis, “I grew up on Ayn Rand,” Ryan told the Atlas Society, a group of Rand devotees, in a 2005 speech. “I grew up reading Ayn Rand, and it taught me quite a bit about who I am and what my value systems are, and what my beliefs are.”

Ryan went on to say that Rand’s works are required reading for his staff. “The reason I got involved in public service, by and large, if I had to credit one thinker, one person, it would be Ayn Rand,” he went on to say. “And the fight we are in here, ... is a fight of individualism versus collectivism.”

How any Christian could watch this immoral video, understand its implications for our American democracy and still pull the voting lever for this Dynamically Destructive Duo is way beyond my ability to comprehend!

" being a morally upright person with a spine." You really crack me up! Your going to pull a muscle patting yourself on the back like that Enraged. You sure like calling other people cowards don't you? Some other brave soul on the left also called the Navy Seals cowards. It's been 27 years since I raised my hand and swore to defend my country, so if you want to label me in the same class as those Navy Seal cowards, I consider it a great honor!!!

"Some of us on here will occasionally copy information from different sites."

Yes, onerebel, some of us do...myself included.

However, being a morally upright person with a spine, I also provide the source for any copied information I use...to do otherwise is slimy, dishonest, and cowardly.

Unreasonable Voice...hope you are proud of yourself again for insulting 99% of American workers who happen to believeable they are all productive members of our society.

Any reading of labor statistics wil show you the steady productivity gains accomplished by these good, hard-working American laborers over the past decades Your blatant insultwas not appreciated...nor is your ridiculously simplistic belief that only millionairesare productive members of our society.

The Fireman who saved the child from the burning house certainly doesn't want you telling him his work is unimportant and that he should "shape up" and realize the only way he'll ever get ahead in life is if he suddenly wakes up and realizes what an honor it is for him to pay more taxes so the millionaire out by the country club can get an extra $250,000 next year! How ignorant of him not tot KNOW that in the first place!

Guess he doesn't watch Fox News religiously or broke his rose colored glasses recently, huh?

If he did, he'd realize how insignificant he really is in the Big Picture and his only hope is waiting for the "trickle-down" to finally hit his bank account.

Darn but didn't they tell me this same nonsense 30 years ago too? Bet you're still waiting!

Sorry Reb… I won’t do your dirty work. If you want to find responsibility for the innuendo and shooting from the hip opiniony you perpetuate, go read those nuts on the “Stormbringer” blog. That seems to be the source of this trash. Knowing there are people like that running around free is chilling.

sockratties, the funny thing is, as I was reading what you said about Ayers I thought the same thing about you. But I gave you the benefit of a doubt. I always double check the facts on multiple news sources, however unlike some of the people that think they are never wrong, I do make errors. ( I know, someone admitting they are not perfect on a forum is a shocker.) So if you could be so kind as to let me know what was a flat out lie, and give me the undisputed facts to back up your claim, I'll tip my hat to you.

reb... while you're busy plagiarizing the propaganda sites you might want to do some fact checking. Most of the garbage you're spreading are half-truths or flat out lies. It's just as easy and moersatisfying unless you only want one side of the story.

There you are Enraged. Where have you been? Filming yourself in the drive thru of another Chick-fil-A ? I hate to break what little heart you have, but that is not the site I found the information on. I didn't realize the Gestapo was watching, and that it was a crime. Being the compassionate soul that you are, I'm SURE you can find it in your heart to forgive me. Now for anyone else on here that didn't already figure it out. Some of us on here will occasionally copy information from different sites. Sometimes it's from several sites! Sometimes I even drive over the posted speed limit! I love living on the edge!

OK, so the people Obama associated with before he was President is not an issue? Then what about the Czars he hand picked? Auto recovery Czar: Ed Montgomery- Black radical anti business activist. Affirmative Action and Job Preference for blacks. Univ of Maryland Business School Dean teaches US business has caused world poverty. ACORN board member. Communist DuBois Club member. Domestic Violence Czar: Lynn Rosenthal- Director of the National Network to End Domestic Violence. Vicious anti male feminist. Supported male castration. Drug Czar: Gil Kerlikowske- devoted lobbyist for every restrictive gun law proposal, Former Chief of Police in Liberal Seattle . Believes no American should own a firearm. Supports legalization of drugs.. Great Lakes Czar: Cameron Davis- Chicago radical anti business environmentalist. Blames George Bush for “Poisoning the water that minorities have to drink.” No experience or training in water management. Former ACORN Board member WMD Policy Czar: Gary Samore- Former US Communist. Wants US to destroy all WMD unilaterally as a show of good faith.Terrorism Czar: John Brennan- Anti CIA activist. No training in diplomatic or gov. affairs. Believes Open Borders to Mexico and a dialog with terrorists and has suggested Obama disband US military. Then there is former Czar Van Jones was a self-avowed communist. So is it better to hire these people to help you ruin, I mean run our country?

    California leon...

Bashing Obama for association with individuals is childish. Obama worked as a community organizer and a civil rights attorney in Chicago, and taught law at the university of Chicago Law school. (This is during the time his detractors say he never had a job.) He also served three terms in the Illinois Senate before becoming a U.S. Senator. In his book “Audacity of Hope” he explains how he found that working with black churches as a community organizer was a way to spur social change in the African-American community. Community organizing involves working with diverse opinions and agenda, much as does the presidency. You are bound to have associations with people you would not necessarily choose as your friends.

The claim about Ayers stems from a lie put forth by the McCain/Palin campaign. It turned out that the association of Obama with Ayers was that they both were involved with the “Chicago Annenberg Challenge” an education program which was funded by a prominent Republican and contributor to McCain's campaign.

Obama refers to Davis in “Dreams of my Father” as stuck in a '60s time warp, relating to the Jim Crow backlash and the strive for Black Power. Hardly a scarey communist influence. Remember we were at that time coming out of the McCarthy era spurred by fear of communism, perpetrated by a Republican senator and related heavy handed thuggery not unlike the radical right of today.

The effort to characterize Obama by remote associations of his aides and staff are also the product of weak, biased and poorly informed minds.

    No chatmandu002,

Ayn Rand believes in free enterprise and laise fare economics [no rules, no controls no oversight]. So do the Madoffs! She'd have loved working on Wall Street this past decade. And she doesn't have all of the answers. Keynes believes that there is a time and a place for government to step in to rescue a failing economy. But he does not believe that government is an end all.

Neither philosophy has all of the answers. Both have their numerous shortcomings.

What do we know about Romney's tax history?

Romney does not fill out his tax forms sitting at the kitchen table, he has teams of tax lawyers and accountants who calculate his taxes.

When Romney ran for governor of Massachusetts, he got caught claiming his residency was in Utah in order to get cheaper taxes. When caught, he did the ' my bad ' thing and paid up.

Do you really think that was a mistake?

Romney claimed that he was not responsible for Bain after he went to the Olympics in 1999, that he was no longer the CEO. However the SEC filings from Bain Capital still showed him as being CEO and sole stockholder.

Do you really think that was a mistake?

Romney refuses to reveal his tax returns from that time to prove whether or not he had declared himself to be CEO of Bain capital, and therefore responsible for Bain's vulture capitalism, on his tax returns.

When Harry Reid accused Romney of paying 0% taxes for 10 years, Romney called Harry Reid a liar.

But he refused to reveal his returns to prove Harry Reid had lied.

Sen. McCain has seen Romney's tax returns and he DID NOT call Harry Reid a liar.

When Sen. McCain saw Romney's tax returns, he dropped him from consideration as his VP and chose Palin.

What did McCain see in Romney's tax returns that made him want nothing to do with Romney?

Romney refuses to reveal more than 2 years of recent returns ( he won't show the returns from the years in question ).

But Romney DEMANDED candidates for his VP slot show him SEVERAL years of their returns.

How hypocritical can one person be?

Do we really want to elect such a two - faced person to the Presidency?

The difference between Keynes and Rand is that Keynes believed it takes government action to succeed where Rand believed it was the individual that was responsible for success.

Will_Travel, you are still confused. Let me try again.

Discriminating against people for the way they are born - not okay.

Calling out discriminatory bigots who have CHOSEN to join a group that preaches hate and intolerance - okay.

    NOW are we all clear?

Shiver me timbers. We have Ayn Rand on the one hand and John Maynord Keynes on the other! I'm in the center. Both make some good points. But neither has all of the answers.

Will_Travel, you are horribly confused. Allow me to clarify.

I WOULD have reported such a post. Racism is not tolerated on these forums.

You are comparing how one is born (race) with membership in a hate cult (Mormon Church).

These are the same people who claim homosexuality is a choice...a CHOICE.

And here you are pretending that joining a cult ISN'T a choice.

    All clear now?

I think Rod may have a point here, anyone who wants to reduce spending is obviously evil. Everyone must know that only those who want to take more from productive members of society to run the streamlined and efficient Government are on the side of angels. And we do indeed know that the current administration definitly does "care about the majority of American society". Except where the majority was against Obamacare and it decided to pull every trick in the book to ram it down are throats. Or are we talking theoretically again?

Can you just imagine the reaction if Obama said he was a fan of Ayn Rand?

He'd be labeled as a Communist, an atheist, and a baby killer.

But all the whacko beliefs thay have about how they operate here on earth and what they have to look forward to in the after life are chilling. Becoming gods, with their own planets, and all those virgins seems too far out to be taken seriously.

I am a lot less worried about old Ayn Rand than Barack Hussein Obama's Communist Party friends and affiliates.

FRANK MARSHALL DAVIS = card-carrying Chicago Communist who was another of Obama's "questionable mentors" along with the Anti-White, Anti-American Reverend Jeremiah Wright (who's sermons you can see on video at...YouTube). Obama mentions Frank Marshall Davis...22 times...in Obama's book "Dreams of My Father".

VALERIE JARRETT, who is Obama's most trusted White House aide. Her family and her husband's family read like a .."Who's Who" of Black Chicago Communist activist from the 1940's, 1950's and 1960's.

DAVID AXELROD, who is Obama's Presidential Campaign Chief. Axelrod also had a Communist "mentor" in his journalism career, David Cantor, who was educated at Moscow University for Gawd's Sake.

BILL AYERS, is one of Obama's closest friends. Ayers is an avowed Anti-American Marxist, 1960's Terrorist Bomber and was a member of the Weather Underground, one of the virulent Anti-Vietnam War Protest Groups of them all.

If Obama isn't a Communist, he is getting there with his "Universal Health Care" (just like Cuba, Russia, and Venenzuela). Obama's Marxist view on "Wealth Re-distribution" in his latest speeches on "a vision of...SHARED....prosperity".
We have already heard Obama's Marxist...."anti-Capitalism, anti-Wall Street, anti-Big Business" speeches in the past.

GIVE ME ....AYN RAND....OVER MARXISM, LENINISM, SOCIALISM AND COMMUNISM..............ANY DAY.

Rod, so many many " Christians " believe they can do anything they want because ' they are forgiven '.

Christ died for their sins and so their sins are forgiven.

Since their sins have been forgiven --- they might as well commit some.

Greed, lust for power, lying to achieve their desires --- Jesus died to forgive all that so it doesn't matter.
