When this government shutdown is over, and Congress gets back to work, I hope they look at themselves in the mirror and ask themselves what exactly was accomplished.
Not only did many people go without the services they needed, but it completely derailed important issues like immigration.
Remember comprehensive immigration reform from back in the summer?
Remember how Congress was poised to make some real progress on an issue that has really hurt Arizona?
That progress seems stalled, and who knows what will happen now. It would behoove Arizona’s Congressman to relight that torch and get action going again, because government shutdown or not, the problems are still here.
