We are being faced with the threat of cuts on Federal Student Aid. The Pell Grant is need-based financial aid for college students, and by cutting its funding, there will be 1.7 million students nationwide who lose their eligibility for this need-based aid. Any cuts to financial aid will affect students dramatically, especially in a time where education is becoming more difficult to pay for.

Students across the nation continue to struggle financially with paying for college. The Pell Grant has been immensely helpful in providing aid to these students. I receive the Pell Grant and without it, I know I would not be attending the University of Arizona. Help us save our family members, friends, and others who need Pell. We are gathering statements of support which we will send to Sen. Jon Kyl, a member of the committee that makes the final decision. To play a part in this campaign, write a letter or send a call to our representatives in Washington, D.C.
