Why is it that some people want to end the consumption of meat and dairy? Who would eat and drink these products if we don’t? Someone has to. As for those cows, well, they HAVE to be milked. There is no one else who can do it (you think they are smart enough to milk themselves, yes? No?).
Meat is actually good for you, if you eat it sparingly. Too much is not healthy, of course. But did anyone ever get fat from eating only a small portion of meat in their lives? As for milk, there is plenty of calcium in milk. And milk is good for our bones. I am not an anti-veggies person. I love carrots. I love corn. I love many things that are good for us, but I do not want to spend the rest of my life eating nothing but veggies and fruits and grain. I love oatmeal; I usually have it once a week, or so, along with some milk. Is this so wrong? As for people saying that sugar is a “dangerous drug and not a source of energy”, well, that is not true. Sugar IS a great source of energy. History proves this to be a fact (just watch that Gilligan’s Island episode with the radioactive veggies the castaways find). I challenge David Rich or any other liberal to give a good reason why we should eliminate meat and dairy products, other than their continuous ranting about obesity. I don’t want to hear those racdrops.
