Is the (entire) news media corrupt? Listening to the news on any TV or radio station or reading almost any newspaper, leaves one with the impression that the entire media in this country is corrupt. The media continues to insist that retirees are receiving too much in the way of medical benefits, pensions etc. Where is the outrage about our tainted Washington politicians who receive free medical care, free pensions (they never contributed one dime, yet they receive a pension which gives them 100 percent salary without having to vote on the increase.) The free workout gymnasium, free haircuts and dye jobs, free transportation etc. When is the (so-called) free media going to expose the politician for what he/she really is, a criminal?
What has happened to our so-called honest media?

We understand that some people don't realize that Capital Letters are offensive to others when overused. The liberal get upset when you raise your voice to them, it hurts their feelings. LOL

No, (nearly) all media are businesses, required to make money to continue doing business. If reporting on ant colony behavior got them the most readers/viewers and most advertising dollars, you can bet it would be headline news. And you would, as you do now, have to search for real stories yourself. Unfortunately most of their consumers prefer to be titillated than informed, and they respond appropriately.

Mr. Milone --- there used to be laws that regulated the number of media outlets a company could have in given areas, etc. etc.
But, some very wealthy publishers bribed .... errr .... contributed enough to enough Congresscritters that they were able to get those laws removed and now almost all the media in major outlets is controlled by only 6 companies.
These companies are all ran by ultra-conservative businessmen and so all the media is slanted toward the interests of business.
No one could fail to notice how all the media run the tear jerking stories of invading aliens who are having troubles and how they cast the invaders in a sympathetic light.
Many people might not even notice how spanish words are being injected into prime time tv shows -- to gradually acclimate people to hearing it and accept it.
Business wants cheap labor and has no respect for our immigration laws and sees nothing wrong with doing anything they want in order to increase their profit.
Americans can't afford to work for the wages business wants to pay so they are importing illegal labor.
The general trend of political reporting is right slanted also.
The only reason they allowed things to drift a bit left during the last election cycle and this one is because they know that NO ONE can fix the mess created during the Bush administration and they don't want the Republicans to win and have to take responsibility. They'd rather snipe because Obama can't fix it while they resist everything he tries to do.
