A 17-year-old driver crashed into an apartment building after losing control on a Gilbert road Tuesday.
According to Sgt. Mark Marino, Gilbert police spokesman, no one was injured in the 7:45 a.m. crash. Marino said the driver, a Williams Field High School student, was westbound in a black Dodge pickup truck on Ray Road approaching Higley Road when he had a medical problem.
The truck veered across eastbound traffic and into an apartment on the southeast corner of the intersection.
Capt. Dan Rush, Gilbert fire spokesman, said five residents had to be moved out of their apartments until inspectors determined the structural integrity of the ground floor apartment and the two above.
