Library staff found a note in the facility, 64 E. First St., about 11:30 a.m. suggesting a bomb was on the premises and evacuated the building until police could search it, according to Mesa police Sgt. Chuck Trapani.

Trapani said there was no sign of any kind of device and the library was expected to be back in operation by early afternoon.
