A high pollution advisory was announced for today, beginning Thursday at midnight. Air particles are expected to exceed federal health standards.
Officials urge people with respiratory illnesses to reduce outdoor activity. They also advised residents against unnecessary driving and requested that people avoid mowing their lawns on Friday.
