Paul McCartney will kick off his 2010 tour in the Valley.

McCartney announced today that Glendale’s Jobing.com Arena will serve as launch pad for his Up and Coming 2010 tour. The concert will take place on Sunday, March 28.

Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. March 1, at the Jobing.com Arena box office or online at LiveNation.com or Ticketmaster.com. Tickets may also be charged by phone at (800) 745-3000.

The show will mark McCartney’s first appearance in Arizona since 2005.

At more than two hours, it will feature a set list drawing on the music of The Beatles, Wings and McCartney’s solo career. It will also include some songs never before played on U.S. soil and the live U.S. premiere of “(I Want To) Come Home,” McCartney’s Golden Globe-nominated track from the 2009 Robert De Niro movie “Everybody’s Fine.”

Jobing.com Arena is at 9400 W. Maryland Ave. in Glendale.
