TUCSON - An 18-year-old woman indicted for first-degree murder in the death of her University of Arizona roommate says she's innocent.
Freshman Galareka Harrison's public defender entered a not guilty plea on her behalf during a brief Justice Court arraignment. Harrison appeared via closed-circuit television from the Pima County Jail.
Indicted last week by a Pima County grand jury, she's charged in the September 5th stabbing death of 18-year-old fellow Navajo tribal member Mia Henderson.
She's also accused of four other felony charges - three counts of forgery and one count of identity theft.
A request by the prosecutor to increase Harrison's $50,000 bond was put off until early next month.
