The main suspect in metro Phoenix’s Serial Shooter case wasn’t in court Wednesday when jurors heard testimony from his ex-wife.
Dale Hausner, who is on trial on charges of killing eight people and attacking 20 others, opted not to be present during ex-wife Karen Ledford’s testimony.
Ledford says Hausner violently attacked her and that her ex-husband is bisexual. When Ledford gave similar testimony at a hearing held Tuesday outside the jury’s presence, Hausner excused himself from the courtroom.
Hausner also decided against being in court for Thursday’s testimony by his former roommate, Samuel Dieteman, who has pleaded guilty in two killings in the case.
Hausner has unequivocally denied involvement in the Serial Shooter attacks.
