Gilbert police are asking for the public’s help in finding a man who shot a 24-year-old Mesa man outside a bar early Saturday.

The shooting occurred about 2 a.m. during an argument between two groups at the Wild Hare in the 3400 Block of East Baseline Road.

The victim was shot in the stomach and was taken to Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn, where he was later released, police said. The shooter drove south on Val Vista Drive. Police said the motive for the shooting is unclear.

The gunman is described as having a dark complexion and driving a white Mazda 626 coupe. Police ask anyone with information to call (480) 503-6500.
