A group of people inside a Mesa apartment told police late Sunday they were robbed at gunpoint by five men who made them lay on the floor as they searched them for valuables.
The men entered the apartment about 10:30 a.m. in the 1100 block of East Second Street through an unlocked front door and brandished a shotgun and handguns, police said.
The alleged intruders took the victims’ wallets and fled from the scene in a silver or gray Volkswagen Jetta, police said.
No one was injured during the incident.
