Queen Creek residents soon won't have to travel to neighboring cities to shop till they drop.

A building frenzy under way to bring residents more shopping amenities and development is nearing completion on several significant shopping centers like Queen Creek Marketplace at Rittenhouse and Ellsworth Loop roads.

Two smaller neighborhood shopping centers are also headed to the town.

While they may not be as large or gain as much attention as Queen Creek Marketplace, residents will no doubt be pleased to see doors open at Cortina Village Plaza at Germann and Rittenhouse roads, as well as Queen Creek Crossroads at Ellsworth and Rittenhouse roads.

It's still unclear about tenants, but Queen Creek Crossroads will encompass about 30,000 square feet of shop space, and Cortina Village Plaza will include more than 11,000 square feet.

And so did Marciano, a store sporting Guess' luxury brand, named for the founding - and still ruling - family.
