SkySong has gone international. The mixed-use project on the site of the former Los Arcos Mall at McDowell and Scottsdale roads in Scottsdale has landed a high-tech company from Singapore.

Aurigin Technology develops products for the biomedical industry and designs and manufacturers automation solutions for advanced semiconductor packaging and radio frequency identification labels. Aurigin also produces components found in computers, digital cameras and portable music players.

Aurigin will join eFunds and Qwest at SkySong, and Arizona State University research and entrepreneurial units such as ASU Technopolis, Innovation Space and the Center for Ubiquitous Computing.

There are no specifics on how many employees Aurigin will have at SkySong.

“By establishing their U.S. operations at SkySong, a global portal for business, Aurigin Technology will benefit from leveraging collaboration among fellow innovative companies and ASU, a world-class university,” said Barry Broome, president and CEO of the Greater Phoenix Economic Council.

SkySong is a joint project of Scottsdale and ASU.
