Mesa police arrested a man Wednesday on suspicion of masturbating in his car and staring at a woman in the parking lot of Superstition Springs Mall.

Court records show Bryan Lee Farrell, 25, of Mesa was booked into jail on suspicion of indecent exposure, public sexual indecency and marijuana possession.

Court records show a woman called police and described a man sitting in his car masturbating about 5:30 p.m. More than an hour later, police found a car with the same license plate in the 9400 block of E. Coralbell.

The man admitted to having marijuana and being at the mall, court records show. When an officer asked what he had done at the mall, the man replied that he showed a girl his genitals and had been masturbating.

The man said he committed the crime because the woman was "attractive."

"I knew she could see me," he said in court records.

The man also admitted to using marijuana for 13 years, court records show.
