Earl Simmons, the rapper better known as DMX, has been arrested in Miami, Fla. by the FBI, one day after the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office issued a warrant for his arrest.
Simmons, 37, of Cave Creek, had failed to appear in Maricopa County Superior Court and is facing charges of drug possession, identity theft and animal cruelty, according to the sheriff’s office.
He has been arrested at least five times by the sheriff’s deputies, and will be extradited to Phoenix.
The county sheriff’s office offered a $5,000 reward for information leading up to Simmons’ arrest, but it wasn’t immediately known if anyone would receive the reward.
