A Loomis armored truck employee was robbed at gunpoint in a south Scottsdale supermarket parking lot this morning.

The armored truck employee told police he was approached around 9:30 a.m. outside a Fry’s Food and Drug store at 6080 E. Thomas Road by an Hispanic male wearing a green knit hat and blue jeans who was pointing a gun and demanding cash.

After taking the money, the suspect then fled on food through the parking lot into an apartment complex north of the store, police said.

Police were unable to find the suspect and no one was injured during the incident, police said.
