Maricopa County prosecutors announced today they will also seek the death penalty for an eighth homicide recently charged to Dale Hausner, one of the Valley’s two suspected Serial Shoorters.

Serial shooting suspect takes deal

Hausner was previously charged on suspicion of seven other homicides in connection to a series of random shootings that took place across the Valley in 2005 and 2006. Prosecutors were already asking for Hausner to be put to death if he was found guilty on those charges.

The eighth murder was charged to Hausner last month after the second suspect in the slayings, Samuel Dieteman, agreed to plead guilty some of the murders and also testify against Hausner.
