We’ll have a doubleheader this week for VX Live, with up-to-the-minute scores, updates, photos and commentary on both Thursday and Friday nights from all the high school football games in the East Valley.

Twenty-one games involving East Valley schools will be played Thursday night due to Rosh Hashanah (which begins at sundown Friday). Another 11 are scheduled for Friday.

So, whether you're sitting at home or sitting in the stands following along, VX Live is the place to be beginning at 6 p.m. each night.

You can follow along at home, posting your own comments and questions in our expanded chat box, or sign up for our mobile feed and get the information delivered to you while you're sitting at the game (to get the mobile feed, just open the VX Live window at any time and click on the RSS icon in the bottom right corner). You can also request that we send an e-mail reminding you when VX Live is about to start.

Your host for the event will be "Mom" - whom regular Varsity Xtra readers are already familiar with. Mom figures to be pretty busy, posting more than 100 updates each Friday night and fielding your comments and questions. Our writers in the field will also be chiming in from time to time.

To participate, just show up at varsity.evtrib.com at 6 p.m. The VX Live window will automatically expand, pushing the regular site content lower. A replay of the live chat is also available later (for internet explorer users, if the VX Live banner doesn't open, click on the "Open VX Live module" link in the navigation bar at the top of the page).
