Gilbert American Little League took second place in the Arizona state 10-11-year-old Little League tournament held in Nogales, Ariz. The team finished its all-star season 11-2 and lost in the state championship game 16-10 to Canyon Del Oro of Tucson.

Gilbert American Little League took second place in the Arizona state 10-11-year-old Little League tournament held in Nogales, Ariz. The team finished its all-star season 11-2 and lost in the state championship game 16-10 to Canyon Del Oro of Tucson. Gilbert American earned the trip to the state tournament after winning the District 14 tournament for its age group.

Players for Gilbert American included Kody Schmidt, Carson Cole, Brian Rogerson, Dane Stankiewicz, Nick Manger, Connor Sheridan, Kohl Sanchez, Mason Connelly, Ryan Atencio, Braden Liu and Chandler Clancy. The team manager was Brian Schmidt and coaches were Rob Cole and Brian Rogerson.

Other East Valley teams that participated in the age 10-11 state tournament in Nogales included Mesa American Little League (District 7), Ahwatukee Little League (District 13) and Scottsdale McCormick Ranch (District 6).
