TUCSON - Arizona basketball coach Lute Olson might be back with the team but he won't be on the sidelines.

Interim head coach Kevin O'Neill said this afternoon Olson is "not going to coach the games at this point," though he will participate in some practices.

Olson has been on an unexplained leave of absence since Nov. 4. He did not appear at today's weekly media gathering. There is no timetable for Olson's return to the sidelines, O'Neill said.

UA players were told Sunday upon returning to Tucson from Kansas, that Olson would be at Monday's practice. "It was good to see him smiling, just being the head coach again," forward Chase Budinger said.

"It was very assuring for the players, especially me."
