SANTA MONICA, Calif. - Police are investigating the apparent homicide of an aspiring model and actress from Arizona who was found dead in her Santa Monica, California, apartment.
Santa Monica police Lieutenant Alex Padilla says 21-year-old Juliana Redding was found last night after her mother in Tucson called police to report that she hadn't been able to reach her daughter by telephone.
Padilla says it wasn't clear how long Redding had been dead, but police believed she died ''as a result of an assault.''
The coroner's office says an autopsy is scheduled tomorrow to determine the cause of death.
