As the first one to vote, I made it unanimous. China is our friend. One gets to choose who is a friend and who is a foe. Where China holds $1 trillion of our debt, we'd better hope they are friencly!

Only eight of 53 view China as a friend. That means 45 people are not thinking about the wisdom of choosing friends. Nor are they likely to understand the addage of keeping friends close and enenies closer!

Our Embassador to China resigned today. He may have been the only one to have spoken a Chineese dialect. We surely shall miss him. Should he run for office, especially for President, perhaps he can help us keep or make China, our banker and co-dependent fellow nation close to us, either as a friend [the more ideal] or as a friendly competitor [the current status] or as a foe who still respects us and whom we respect, but never our enemy. We cannot afford to have China as an enemy! Like Rome, we are in decline!
