Two stories of penthouselevel condominiums will adorn the top of a planned four-star executive hotel at Chandler Fashion Center, officials said Thursday.
The idea is to combine the aspects of executive-style hotel living, access to extensive fitness resources and the proximity of dozens of shops and restaurants, officials said.
"This really brings a new dimension and a new quality of lifestyle living to Chandler," Vice Mayor Phil Westbrooks said. "It’s all just steps away from where you live."
Called Cielo, the condominiums will range in size from a 790-square-foot onebedroom to a 1,980-squarefoot three-bedroom and cost between $500,000 and $3 million. A total of 27 units will be available on the ninth and 10th floors of the Renaissance ClubSport hotel, said Scott Graff of Arizona Condo Connection, the agent for the properties.
While the price may seem rich, the goodies that come along with the address are just as sweet, according to Signature Properties West chairman Jeff Cline.
Cline is developing the project, called Elevation-Chandler, which includes the Renaissance ClubSport hotel, fitness club and spa as well as the Cielo condominiums.
All the condominiums have spectacular views, with balconies and windows or walls of windows, that open wide, Cline said.
While owners will have a private entrance and elevator on the hotel’s lower level, they can take advantage of hotel services such as maid and room service on a daily, monthly or one-time basis.
Residents also will have access to the hotel’s four pools as well as the bar and restaurant, called Swank and Tonic, respectively, and valet service.
As part of the property owner’s association fees, a VIP membership to the fitness club, ClubSport, is included.
The boutique-style hotelclub combination is the newest concept for hotel giant Marriott International. The four-star hotel, with a ballroom and numerous meeting rooms, is aimed at the business traveler and executive. The fitness club and spa will be housed in a separate building and encompass 75,000 square feet of space.
The development will be just west of the Loop 101 and south of the mall, along Frye Road. Construction is expected to begin this summer with an expected 2007 opening.
