Chandler Regional and Mercy Gilbert Medical Centers are providing $249,642 in funding to 11 community-based non-profit groups that support underserved populations in the south East Valley.

According to a news release, for more than two decades Chandler Regional and Mercy Gilbert have been partnering with other non-profit organizations who are working to improve the health and quality of life in the communities they serve and whose efforts embody Dignity Health's core values.

Grant awards ranging from $5,000 to $50,000 are provided to those whose programs are aligned with the mission of Dignity Health (formerly Catholic Healthcare West). Organizations receiving awards this year are: About Care, Asian Pacific Community in Action, Chandler Education Foundation, Chandler/Gilbert Family YMCA, Child Crisis Center, Hope Community Center, Improving Chandler Area Neighborhoods, Maricopa County Asthma, Mercy Housing Arizona, Mission of Mercy, and Rebuilding Valley of the Sun.
