Eligible nonprofit organizations have just two more weeks to apply for the SRP EarthWise Energy program for a chance to receive a complimentary photovoltaic (PV) system, according to a release.

The system, which would allow nonprofits to offset a portion of their bills, is valued at approximately $60,000 each. Since 2007, solar projects have been awarded to groups such as Mesa’s A New Leaf Inc. and the Desert Botanical Garden.

Applications can be found at www.srpnet.com/solarnonprofit. Deadline is 5 p.m. Oct. 1. Public online voting will occur in November and December, and the winners will be announced in January 2013.

For more information, email earthwise@srpnet.com or call (602) 236-2922.
