DHL Express in Tempe donated 36,000 bottles of water to the Phoenix Rescue Mission Wednesday, which was the largest single water donation of the summer. DHL employees held the drive at the beginning of the summer, and their employer matched the contributions to encourage greater participation.
The donation will allow the rescue mission to provide relief to social service agencies across the Valley. The mission uses about 4,000 bottles of water a week to keep the homeless hydrated.
