Area eligible nonprofit organizations can apply for a chance to receive a free solar photovoltaic energy system from SRP EarthWise Energy.
SRP will evaluate the applications and approve the agencies that meet the criteria for the program. SRP customers will have the chance to vote for their favorite qualifying agency, and the agencies with the most votes will each receive a system.
To be considered, nonprofits must submit an application, found at www.srpnet.com/solarnonprofit, by 5 p.m., Oct. 1. Voting will occur in November and December, and the winners will be announced in January.
SRP EarthWise Energy is a voluntary program where monthly donations go entirely to donate solar PV systems to Valley nonprofits.
