Melange Boutique, Accents of Europe, Sau’tee Urban Bistro and Bravi are some of the restaurants and retailers opening soon at the Promenade at Fulton Ranch in Chandler.

And if you’re a Europhile living in the East Valley who fantasizes about riding your Vespa down a cobblestone path to a local market in the European hinterlands, strip malls like these are the best you’re going to get.

The 150,000-square-foot center near Chandler Heights and Alma School roads is slated for a grand opening the weekend of April 12. Other stores include A.J.’s Fine Foods and Starbucks.

Honda dealer moves

Employees of the former Honda Cars of Mesa are kicking the tires on their new digs in Chandler.

The dealership, renamed SanTan Honda Superstore, recently moved from Broadway and Alma School roads in Mesa to the new Chandler 202 Auto Park at Gilbert Road and Loop 202.

Spa to open

Those who need some pampering after the holiday onslaught of visiting relatives, bowl games, last-minute Christmas shopping and failed New Year’s resolutions might consider the new Exhale Spa and Salon in Gilbert.

The spa officially opens Jan. 24 on Baseline Road between Lindsay Road and Val Vista Drive in Gilbert.

Italian eateries

Craving some homemade food? Consider Vito & Nick’s II Pizzeria, which opened on Sunday near Queen Creek and Higley roads in Gilbert.

The owner’s menu features cuisine made from family recipes passed down since 1932.

Another Italian eatery opened in Mesa. Queens Cafe & Pizzeria opened recently on Main Street between Macdonald and Robson. The menu includes apple turnovers, cinnamon rolls, sandwiches and pizza by the slice.

Retail plaza in works

Construction on a 214,400-square-foot shopping center is nearly under way at Southern Avenue and Stapley Drive.

Work on Mesa Ranch Plaza will start in January and open in late 2008. The retail center will cater to the area’s Hispanic residents with stores like Pro’s Ranch Market grocery and La Curacao electronics.
