The urban shopping villages that ring Chandler Fashion Center have had a lot of recent additions. And more are coming.

Here’s an update on the new stores.

At Chandler Gateway, northwest of the intersection of Loop 101 and Chandler Boulevard, recent openings include a Men’s Wearhouse and Shabu Fondue, a restaurant that serves up fondue and Japanese "hot pot" dishes.

Chandler Festival, northeast of the Loop 101-Chandler Boulevard intersection, has a couple of new shops — Silk Road Asian Bistro and ReCollections, a scrapbooking store.

In the Boulevard Shops that line Chandler Boulevard north of the mall, recent store openings include La-Z-Boy, Go Wireless and D & D Bridal stores. Dolce Medspa and Dolce Barbershop are in the planning stages.

Chandler Village Center, anchored by the Target Greatlands, is filling up fast. Recent openings include T-Mobile, Portrait Innovations and Snip-Its.

Expected to open this month in the Village Center are furniture giant Kirkland’s, The Billiard Store, EB Games, Supercuts and local restaurant favorite Someburros.

SanTan Village, the underconstruction complex of big and little shops that straddles Williams Field Road west of the planned Santan Freeway stretch of Loop 202 in Gilbert, is filling up so fast its difficult to keep up with the changes.

Just this week, parent Westcor launched a Web site,, so tech-able neighbors can stay abreast of developments.
