Patrick Burkhart has been named the provost of Mesa Community College.
He will begin as provost July 23. Most recently, Burkhart was an assistant director at Maricopa County Human Services Department where he was instrumental in creating regional partnerships with the City of Phoenix, Maricopa County Community College District, apprenticeship programs, and faith-based and other non-profit organizations. While working for Maricopa County he also held the positions of executive director of Maricopa Workforce Connections and strategic planning coordinator.
Burkhart has a Bachelor of Science degree in natural sciences and business administration and a MBA in health care administration from the University of Toledo.
