As Firehouse Subs prepares to celebrate the opening of its third Mesa location Monday, there’s more than just sandwiches and soda to this quick lunch stop.
Each Firehouse location is home to a custom, hand-painted mural, with the new Mesa location, 1616 S. Stapley Road, featuring images of the Mesa and Gilbert fire departments fighting the flames. The Mesa and Gilbert departments also donated firefighting gear which will be displayed throughout the restaurant.
The Mesa location, which will be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sundays, will not only feature its signature hot subs and salads, but also more than 120 beverage options through its interactive Coca-Cola Freestyle Fountain.
The new location is the national chains eighth in Arizona and fifth in the East Valley. In addition to its three Mesa locations, Firehouse Subs also has locations in Chandler and Queen Creek.
