What are your main job duties?
Fixing printers and copiers at a site and bench working, “When they bring it to you and you work on it at the office.”
What got you interested in this field?
“I went to school for computers. I wanted to do something a little more. I wanted to start my own business. With a degree in computing I figured I could work for copiers and printers because they have the same theory.”
What do you like best?
“I’m meeting new people. Learning new things.”
What do you need to know to get into this field?
“Basic theory on how a printer works and how a computer works. You have to like to take stuff apart and put stuff back together. You should like to travel.”
Memorable moment?
“One of my teachers told me he went to a site where they put a box of glazed donuts on the document feed and made 100 copies. The sugar got stuck on the screen and the paper started to get stuck. No one knew what was happening. I don’t know why they made those copies. No one confessed anything.”
