Phoenix-based Freeport-McMoran Copper & Gold announced it has formed a new organizational structure for its operations management team following a decision by the company’s president to retire in 2008.
Tim Snider, president and chief operating officer, announced he will retire effective April 1, 2008.
Snider spent 37 years with Phelps Dodge, which was purchased by Freeport-McMoran this
year.
Current CEO Richard Adkerson will become president after Snider’s retirement.
