Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa has added two new doctors who specialize in neuroscience to its staff.
Joining the staff are Dr. Tristram Horton and Dr. Nevra King. Horton is a neurosurgeon who has become the hospital’s director of cerebrovascular and endovascular neurosurgery, and arrives in Arizona after serving as a clinical lecturer at the University of Michigan.
“We are pleased to welcome Dr. Horton and his unique expertise to Banner Desert,” said Rob Gould, CEO of Banner Desert Medical Center, in a press release. “Neurologists and neurosurgeons have been eager to join our team since he joined us to have the opportunity to work with him.”
King, who is from Turkey originally, arrives at Banner after serving as the Director of Neurotrauma and the staff neurosurgeon at Wilfred Hall Medical Center at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. King specializes in brain and spinal trauma, brain tumors and spinal disease and degeneration.
“I am thrilled to be back in Arizona and to be a part of the team at Banner Desert,” King said in a press release. “I look forward to working with the staff and expanding my expertise in neurosurgical pathology including brain and spine diseases.
