FastMed Urgent Care, operator of more than 20 urgent care locations throughout Arizona — including nine in the East Valley — announced earlier this month the acquisition of Sports Medicine Express.
By absorbing the Sports Medicine Express brand, which was co-founded by Matthew Shores, M.D., FastMed will be able to offer sports medicine-specific treatment at locations in both Scottsdale (4902 E. Shea Blvd., Suite 101) and Chandler (2875 W. Ray Road, Suite 8). According to information provided by FastMed, Shores will remain with FastMed following the acquisition, stepping into the role as the head of FastMed’s sports medicine practice.
While sports medicine treatment will be centralized at the Shea Boulevard and Ray Road locations, FastMed’s other East Valley sites include another Chandler location, one in Gilbert, three in Mesa and three in Tempe. Information on all of FastMed’s locations can be found at www.fastmed.com.
