Every day, there are more reproduction pieces available to replace old, worn out and unserviceable parts on your classic ride.

Every day, there are more reproduction pieces available to replace old, worn out and unserviceable parts on your classic ride. First it was the big stuff such as body panels, dash pads, steering wheels and upholstery kits. Now many companies are filling in the gaps with smaller detail pieces with everything from carburetor linkage bushings to these door-sill plates for 1967-’69 Chevrolet Camaros from Trim Parts based in Lebanon, Ohio.

The trick, however, is finding parts that look, function and install just like the originals. In the case of the sill plates, Trim Parts claims that they’re “exact” reproductions that even come with the correct (to make them look totally original) “Body by Fisher” tag. And since the sill plates are just about the first thing you see when you get into a vehicle, having quality pieces that are shiny and free of dents and dings sets the tone for the rest of your ride. For that, $60 for a pair (list price) is a deal, especially when the parts are licensed by General Motors.

Trim Parts sells parts for many makes and models from different years. Visit www.trimparts.com to begin your shopping or call 513-934-0815.
