Local hospitals seek applicants for grants

Chandler Regional and Mercy Gilbert medical centers, both part of the Dignity Health network of hospitals and health care facilities, are seeking applications for their 2012 Community Grants Program.

The program awards funding to nonprofit organizations working to “increase access to quality care for the underserved populations in the community.

Grants up to $50,000 are available. Applicants must be 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations and the project/program must be in accordance with the hospitals’ community health priorities.

    Why don't they use that extra money to pay for the medical treatment the illegals cost the taxpayer?
