The Tempe Community Council and the city of Tempe are asking residents to review human services grant proposals through a process called agency review. Citizens from all walks of life, ages and experience are welcome to evaluate grant applications and make funding recommendations to the Tempe City Council.

The process requires three or four days from December to February, plus additional reading time. The process is open to people who live or work in Tempe. To apply, call the TCC at (480) 858-2311 or send an email to caterina_mena@tempe.gov.

The TCC allocates about $1 million a year to about 35 Valley agencies that serve Tempe clients. The final funding decisions are made by the Tempe City Council. For information, visit www.tempecommunitycouncil.org/agency-review.
